The Math Says - Asheville Out of Playoffs Tuesday, September 6th , 2061 It's not quite the championship run that fans in Asheville might have envisioned. The Asheville Tourists were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. "There are a lot of good clubs in Single A and unfortunately we couldn't quite make it into that elite group this year," said Tourists manager Paul Smith. Asheville last appeared in the postseason in 2058. This is their 3rd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 51 times in their 58-year history.
