Flood Snares MID Top Batter Award in August Friday, September 1st , 2051 Maverick Flood has a lot going for him. The Fond du Lac center fielder just broke into the majors this year and now the Midwest League has just picked him as its top hitter for August. In 27 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .340 with 5 home runs, 22 RBIs and 28 runs scored. Flood has a .259 average and a .346 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 103 hits, 7 home runs and driven in 46 runs. |
