Fort Wayne Stops Ortega Hit Streak Thursday, June 2nd , 2061 Cristián Ortega went 0-for-4 at Fifth Third Field to break his consecutive-game hitting streak at 30 games. The 23-year-old Dayton right fielder failed to get a hit in the 7-0 Dragons victory over the Fort Wayne TinCaps at Fifth Third Field. Ortega did not make himself available to reporters after the game. "I think Cristián is a little upset," Dayton manager Mike Bankhead said. "He'll get over it." At present, Ortega is batting .356 with 58 hits and 5 home runs. He has knocked in 17 runs and scored 23 times. |
