No Playoff Berth Coming for Delmarva Saturday, August 19th , 2051 The Delmarva Shorebirds will soon be packing their bags and heading home for the year. The 2051 season won't involve a playoff run for the club, as Delmarva was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. Delmarva last appeared in the postseason in 2049. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 35 times in their 48-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Shorebirds have missed the playoffs 0 times. Delmarva has won the A Championship Series 2 times in their history. |
