Gamble Crashes 3 HR Against Lexington Tuesday, August 15th , 2051 Stanley Gamble was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 15-1 Hickory Crawdads triumph at Whitaker Bank Ballpark today. The 22-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Crawdads past the Lexington Legends. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Gamble told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The left fielder went 5-for-6, rung up 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. Stanley Gamble singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Clark Perez in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Collin Peake in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Hunter Crafton in the 9th. For the year Gamble is batting .284 with 9 home runs. |
