Ortega Runs Hit String to 25 Straight Games Friday, May 27th , 2061 Cristián Ortega of the Dayton Dragons extended his hitting streak to 25 straight games with 1 hit in today's 6-2 triumph over the Cedar Rapids Haymakers at Veterans Memorial Stadium. "Cristián has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Dragons manager Mike Bankhead joked after the game. Cristián Ortega singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
