Aguilera Stretches Hit String to 20 Tuesday, August 31st , 2060 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Marvin Aguilera did it again, bashing 4 hits in the contest at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. For the last 20 games in a row, the 23-year-old shortstop has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Bowling Green Hot Rods beat the Delmarva Shorebirds, 10-7. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Aguilera told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Bowling Green clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Marvin Aguilera grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this year, Aguilera has 18 home runs and a .340 batting average. |
