Colunga's Season Could be Over
Wednesday, May 1st, 2019
When Columbus reliever Leo Colunga was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Catfish-GreenJackets game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Colunga had sustained a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will be out for about 12 months.

This season Colunga has picked up no saves and posted a 0-0 record with a 2.87 ERA. He has 8 relief appearances, tossed 15.2 innings and struck out 10.
