5-for-6 Game for Cruz
Sunday, June 30th , 2058
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Luz Cruz of the Dayton Dragons had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 12-8 win over the Beloit Snappers at Fifth Third Field.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 22-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Luz Cruz flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Yoandir Barrera in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
So far this season, Cruz is hitting .400 with 1 home run.
