Greenville Loses Readman for Year Wednesday, May 22nd , 2052 The season is apparently over for Sam Readman. The Greenville Drive medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 5-6 months with radial nerve compression. Readman was hurt in the game against Delmarva while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. This year Readman has a 1-3 mark in 9 starts with a 4.04 ERA. He has given up 36 hits in 35.2 innings, struck out 31 and issued 19 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .263 batting average against him. |
