Santana Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, June 5th , 2052 It takes more than one player to win a baseball game - as proven by Isaac Santana of the Salem Red Sox. The Salem second baseman gave it his all and dominated St. Lucie Mets pitching today at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium, finishing with a great 5-for-5 line. However, when the game ended, the scoreboard showed the Mets going home the winner, 13-4. "There's no point gloating about a 5-hit day in a loss," Santana said later. "A loss just means you should have done more. Maybe I should have hit 5 home runs instead." Isaac Santana singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
