Yates Misbehaves, Suspended 2 Games Sunday, August 17th , 2059 "Deplorable conduct will not be tolerated in this league, especially if it is directed toward our umpires." That was the gist of the league commissioner's notification letter to the Quebec Metros organization advising them that shortstop Les Yates had been suspended for 2 games for his heated confrontation with the home plate umpire in yesterday's game with Altoona. He became furious over a called third strike. Currently Yates is batting .316 with 1 home run and 1 RBIs. |
