Playoffs Won't Happen for RubberDucks Friday, August 15th , 2059 Not even a miracle late-season push can rescue the Akron RubberDucks now. Today, the RubberDucks were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. Akron last appeared in the postseason in 2057. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 30 times in their 56-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the RubberDucks have made the playoffs 3 times. Akron has won the AA Championship Series 6 times in their history. |
