Gooding Rips Frisco for 5 Hits Friday, July 22nd , 2061 Camden Gooding put on a hitting clinic at Whataburger Field, spraying hits all over the ballpark and lashing Frisco pitchers for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. However, the offensive onslaught wasn't enough for the Corpus Christi Hooks, who still fell, 6-5. "Sometimes I try to pull the ball too much, so today I just went with the pitch," Gooding told reporters after the game. "It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too." Camden Gooding singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Gooding is hitting at a .268 mark this season.
