Trash Pandas End Bardales's Streak
Sunday, August 27th , 2051
Aaron Bardales, left fielder for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 1 tries against the Rocket City Trash Pandas today. Not only did the Trash Pandas break his 21-game hitting streak, they also beat Pensacola by the score of 5-2.
"Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Bardales said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate."
This year Bardales is batting .276 with 12 home runs and 36 RBIs. In 96 games he has scored 43 times.
