Ortiz Hits 4 Homers Against Trash Pandas
Thursday, June 9th , 2061
Hitting a single home run is a tough task. Hitting two in a game is impressive. Hitting three is remarkable. Anything beyond that is borderline unbelievable -- yet that's what Alejandro Ortiz did today in the 23-1 Midland RockHounds victory over the Rocket City Trash Pandas.
Ortiz went 5-for-6 with 4 home runs and drove in 12 runs in a once-in-a-lifetime feat that the opposing manager later labeled "impossible."
"I don't believe it really happened," Trash Pandas manager Alex Salcedo joked to BNN reporters afterward. "I don't ever enjoy losing a game, but this kid was special today. I have never seen a guy hit 4 in a game before. I didn't enjoy it, but it was special."
Alejandro Ortiz hit a three-run home run off Jasiah Jenkins in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Geoff Fan in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Sawyer Marples in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Logan Graves in the 9th.
Thus far in 2061, Ortiz is hitting .250 with 11 home runs, 46 RBIs, 19 runs scored and has compiled a .323 OBP.
