Alicea, Swain Suspended for Fracas Friday, May 30th , 2059 Jimmy Alicea of the Wichita Pilots and Evan Swain of the Erie SeaWolves will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 8 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Pilots-SeaWolves game at Regions Field. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Alicea and Swain will begin serving them soon. This season, Alicea has posted a batting average of .305 with 47 hits in 154 at-bats, 4 home runs and 21 RBIs. He has also scored 20 runs, walked 12 times and compiled a .367 OBP. Taking a look at his season stats for 2059, Swain has made no relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 2-7 won-lost mark with a 6.75 ERA. In pitching 49.1 innings, he has totaled 37 strikeouts and 22 walks. |
