Schmunk Cracks 5 Hits Thursday, August 28th , 2064 5 times is the charm -- at least for Augie Schmunk. The Mississippi Braves left fielder tore up the Tulsa Drillers to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Hammons Field. The offensive onslaught from Schmunk powered the 12-3 Braves win. "Schmunk was a tough out," Tulsa manager Danny McLain said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Augie Schmunk hit a three-run home run off Woody Salley in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Woody Salley in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
