Akron's Alfaro to Miss 8 Months Friday, September 14th , 2068 Lisuarte Alfaro is doubtful to make the playoffs this year, according to sources within the Akron organization. Although the injury was initially thought to be not serious, tests have revealed the player will be out up to 8 months with radial nerve compression. The 24-year-old starting pitcher suffered the injury throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Gateway Grizzlies. This season, Alfaro has rung up 11 wins and 8 losses in 28 games. He has an ERA of 3.98 and has fanned 128 batters in 147 innings. |
