Collin Lindgren Sidelined for Season
Friday, May 31st , 2052
The doctors have spoken and Collin Lindgren of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies didn't like what he heard. The 27-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lindgren sustained his season-ending injury during the Bowie Baysox game yesterday at NYSEG Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Binghamton medical staff reported Lindgren had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months.
To date this season Lindgren sports a 3-4 mark with a 3.29 ERA in 9 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .265 batting average and has 28 strikeouts in 41 innings.
