Martín Shows Off, Hits for Cycle Tuesday, May 7th , 2052 Getting 4 hits is a good day by any measure, but when those include a single, double, triple and a home run -- that's something special. Victor Martín's day was a special one. The catcher hit for the cycle to spark the Lancaster Barnstormers to a 8-2 victory over the Akron RubberDucks at Canal Park today. Lancaster manager Gustavo Resendiz said he thought the whole lineup looked good in batting practice, but had not been expecting anything extraordinary from Martín in particular. "Victor caught me by surprise today," the skipper said. "He looked good before the game, but man, he looked unbelievable during it." For the day, Martín finished with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored to go with his 4 hits. Victor Martín singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Stan Norwood in the 2nd, tripled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
