Total Control: Tacoma No-Hit by Marinas Saturday, September 1st , 2063 Inland Empire 66ers starter Sawyer Marinas was unhittable at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Marinas beat the Tacoma Rainiers, 8-0, breezing through the Rainiers lineup en route to a no-hitter. "I thought Sawyer started off a little slow and was struggling with his command at first," 66ers manager J.D. Fayson said later. "He lucked his way through the early innings, and they helped him out by not being patient. Eventually, it all came together for him, and from there on the Rainiers never had a chance. He dominated them." Marinas struck out 7 batters and issued 1 walk in the performance. This year, Marinas has worked 133.2 innings with 94 strikeouts en route to a 10-5 record and a 3.23 ERA.
