Baby Cakes Halt Gibson Hit Streak Tuesday, July 5th , 2061 The New Orleans Baby Cakes did something to Levi Gibson no team had done for the last 27 games -- they stopped him, ending his consecutive-game hitting streak. Unfortunately, they couldn't do the same to the Edge, who came away with the 6-4 victory at Field of the Edge. "Hey, I knew it wasn't going to last forever," the 26-year-old first baseman said of the demise of his streak. "It was a good ride while it lasted."
