Barons End Barry's Streak
Tuesday, August 15th , 2051
It was a doubly miserable day today for Ben Barry of the Louisville Bats, as he saw his 26-game hitting streak end and his team lose 2-0 to the Wilkes-Barre Barons at Coca-Cola Park. The 26-year-old first baseman was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Barons.

"Anyone on a 26-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Wilkes-Barre manager Jon Moody said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done."

So far this season Barry is batting .316 with 6 home runs, 43 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has 135 hits in 427 at-bats, 23 walks and a .352 OBP. Barry has played in 105 games.
