League Suspends Lee
Thursday, July 13th , 2051
Syracuse Chiefs first baseman Caleb Lee received a 2-game suspension from the league office after he was ejected from a game with the Charlotte Knights recently.

"I knew I probably was going to be suspended," said Lee. "We just didn't know how many games. I ain't really surprised about the suspension. What I did was wrong. You never get into it with an umpire like that. Something bad is going to happen, probably a suspension. I just hate it had to come to that."

Lee was ejected when he complained bitterly about a called third strike. Lee was called out by the home plate umpire. He immediately spun around and stared at the ump and then used both hands to throw his helmet to the ground. At that point, Lee was ejected. By that time his third base coach and manager had gotten between the pair. Then Lee climbed on the back of his coach trying to reach the umpire. After tussling with him, both men got the irate player calmed down and under control and got him to go back to the dugout and to leave the premises.

So far this year in 79 games Lee is hitting .248 with 14 home runs, 48 RBIs and 31 runs scored.
