Vanderpool Sensational, 5-for-5 Sunday, May 21st , 2051 It was a parade of hits for Elijah Vanderpool of the Tucson Sidewinders at Greater Nevada Field today. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Vanderpool finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Sidewinders to a 14-4 victory. "Vanderpool was really good and we were really bad," groaned Express manager Victor Ferrer. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Elijah Vanderpool doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
