Castillo Goes on Rampage Against Tides
Saturday, September 1st, 2007
The Cuernavaca Tanks stopped the Zitacuaro Tides by a score of 10-4 at Tides Ballpark today, with the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Juan Castillo. The 28-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Castillo said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Castillo did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Tides.

"Not much that I can say," offered Zitacuaro manager Luis Saldana. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Juan Castillo hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

This season Castillo has banged out 47 hits in 181 at-bats for a .260 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .357 pace and his totals also include 26 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
