Twice as Nice: New Orleans Extends Lead to 2-0 With Walk-off Win
A big day at the plate from right fielder Jacob Glasser was not enough to keep the New Orleans Baby Cakes from extending their lead in the Wild Card Series. The Baby Cakes topped Glasser and the Iowa Cubs, 7-6, at Zephyr Field in Game 2, and now hold a 2-0 edge in the best-of-7 series. Glasser went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 in the loss.

New Orleans got a jolt from Vennancio García. The designated hitter ripped a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it brought the house down.

"This joint was rocking," said García.

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Principal Park in Des Moines.
