Moore Sizzles with 25-Game Batting Streak
Friday, April 26th , 2052
With 2 hits at Busch Stadium today, Dan Moore added another game to his hitting streak -- the St. Louis center fielder has now hit safely for 25 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Cardinals today, as they fell, 1-0, to the Chicago White Sox.
"Frankly, I don't care about hits," Chicago manager Mike Rhoades said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Dan Moore flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
This year Moore is hitting at a .435 pace with 5 home runs and 19 RBIs. He has played in 22 games and scored 12 times.
