Pirates-Twins Swap: Crain for Pérez Monday, April 22nd , 2052 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Minnesota Twins have agreed to a deal that will have 29-year old 1B Dan Crain heading to Minnesota in exchange for 17-year old minor league RHP Pablo Pérez. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Pittsburgh will retain a portion of Crain's remaining contract. This year Crain has socked 20 hits in 78 at-bats for a .256 average with no home runs. He is getting on base at a .266 pace and his totals also include 4 RBIs and 10 runs scored. |
