Season Possibly Over for Jimmy Richards Saturday, May 6th , 2028 Jimmy Richards has to call it a season. The Oakland Athletics reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the San Diego Padres and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Richards was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a ruptured disc and stated that he would not be able to play for 6 months. To this point in the season, Richards has rung up no saves in 11 relief appearances. He has also crafted a 3.05 ERA, no wins and no losses and 19 strikeouts in 20.2 innings. |
