Injury Sidelines Maxwell Baxter For Year Monday, October 2nd , 2062 The season is finished for Maxwell Baxter of the San Francisco Giants. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Giants reliever suffered elbow inflammation while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Houston Astros. Team doctors said it would take at least 2-3 months to heal. To this point in the season, Baxter has rung up 33 saves in 56 relief appearances. He has also crafted a 3.57 ERA, 3 wins and 4 losses and 51 strikeouts in 63 innings. |
