Orioles, Diamondbacks Make Deal Monday, August 9th, 2027 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Baltimore Orioles and Arizona Diamondbacks finalized a trade today. Baltimore will send 30-year-old minor league RHP John Ezell to the Diamondbacks, while the Orioles will receive a 5th round draft pick. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Orioles general manager Jon Pearson said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. Ezell has posted a career 22-and-22 record with 77 saves and a 3.82 ERA. |
