Colorado Rockies Owner Passes Suddenly Wednesday, September 14th , 2061 It's a somber time for the Colorado Rockies organization. They have lost owner Mike Spencer, who passed away recently due to illness. The team announced funeral arrangements this afternoon at a press conference in Coors Field. Services will be held tomorrow afternoon in the city. As far as who his successor will be, it was clear that his son Mike Spencer will take over as the new owner. In recent years as a training device, the elder Spencer has given his son important positions in the Colorado Rockies organization.
