Philadelphia Designated Hitter July's Best Rookie Monday, August 1st , 2061 José Romero's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Philadelphia designated hitter has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In July he was voted the Rookie of the Month. During the month he hit .341 with 7 doubles, no triples and 8 home runs. Romero also scored 16 times and drove in 21 runs. This year, Romero is hitting .287, produced 50 RBIs and 21 home runs, scored 47 times and gotten on base at a .377 rate. |
