It's Official: Chicago Clinches Playoff Spot Saturday, September 24th , 2039 Chicago White Sox players hooted and hollered with excitement today when the club made it official - they've secured a playoff spot. The Western Region Central Division title is not yet secured, but the club will be going to the postseason regardless, on the strength of their current 92-56 record.
