Williams Crashes 3 HR Against Seattle Sunday, July 10th , 2061 Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, A.J. Williams can celebrate. The Las Vegas Knights third baseman powered three into the stands at Big Slick's House of Hardball against the Seattle Mariners. "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Williams told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one." In all, he was 4-for-5 as the Knights toppled Seattle by a score of 10-6, knocking in 5 runs and scoring 4 times. "He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Las Vegas manager Jason Geddis said. "He gets the ball up in the air." A.J. Williams hit a solo-shot off Jonah Dunn in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Jonah Dunn in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Bobby Reid in the 8th. This year, Williams is hitting .295 with 27 home runs. |
