Conkle Shows Off, Hits for Cycle Monday, August 21st , 2051 Darling Conkle stole the headlines today, hitting for the cycle in the Milwaukee Brewers' 12-11 win over the Virginia Black Bears. "Well that was fun, huh?" he said, smiling, after the game. His 4 hits got the Brewers offense going and his 2 runs batted in and 2 runs scored helped to seal the verdict. Darling Conkle singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Dale Bowyer in the 9th.
