Bates Takes This Week's Trophy Monday, August 21st , 2051 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Peter Bates was rewarded with the Eastern Region Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Detroit Tigers right fielder hit .417 while collecting 10 hits in 24 at-bats, 2 home runs and 8 RBIs. Thus far this year Bates has hit .280 with 10 home runs and 49 RBIs. |
