Romero Bashes 5 Base Hits
Thursday, May 12th , 2061
José Romero got the glory and the headlines, but the California Angels left with the win. The Philadelphia designated hitter easily handled the Angels pitching, going 5-for-5, but his Philadelphia Phillies came out on the short end of the 13-11 score.
Romero told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win.
"Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end."
José Romero hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Cayden Walsh in the 8th.
This season, Romero is hitting .244 with 21 hits, 5 home runs, 12 RBIs, scored 13 runs and played in 24 games.
