Dodgers Trade Conroy to Expos for Solano
Monday, May 9th , 2061
Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Dodgers announced today the acquisition of 30-year old RHP Bobby Solano from the Montreal Expos in exchange for 28-year old minor league RHP Roland Conroy and $1 in cash. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Dodgers, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams."
Montreal will retain a portion of Solano's remaining contract.
Conroy has accumulated a 13-15 lifetime record. He has 226 strikeouts in 236.2 innings and has made 199 appearances, recording 66 career saves and putting up a 3.38 ERA.
In his career, Solano has 16 wins and 27 losses and a 4.52 ERA.
