Rookie Tezak Named Best in June Saturday, July 1st , 2051 It was a dream month for Fraser Tezak of the Miami Marlins. June was pure bliss for this newcomer and it was capped off today when the Eastern Region awarded him the Rookie of the Month. He etched a 2-0 record last month in 0 starts, fanned 11 and walked 5 in 18.2 innings. He compiled a 1.93 ERA and held other clubs to a .229 average. For the year Tezak has saved 6 games while posting an ERA of 2.74 and 36 strikeouts in 42.2 innings. His totals also include a 3-2 record in 25 relief appearances. |
