Boston, Las Vegas Agree to Swap Monday, July 16th , 2029 Reports have surfaced that Boston has agreed to send 23-year old RHP Pedro Dominguez and a 5th round draft pick to the Las Vegas Knights in exchange for 21-year old minor league CF Edgar Esparza, 18-year old minor league RF Nathan Halker, 22-year old minor league RHP Zack McNaught, and 19-year old minor league RHP Alberto Orosco. "It's a done deal," said one executive speaking on the condition of anonymity. "I'm surprised word got around so quickly. We just signed off on this an hour ago." The deal apparently is awaiting physicals before an official announcement is made by either team. Dominguez has fashioned a 6-5 mark for the season, 3.31 ERA and thrown 108.2 innings in 17 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .232 against him. Esparza is hitting .256 for the season with 4 home runs, 13 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 11 hits in 43 at-bats and played in 12 games. |
