Yankees Zamorano Down with Injury Friday, April 27th , 2035 Earlier today, New York second baseman Luis Zamorano had to leave the game against Boston because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has a strained abdominal muscle and will miss 8 weeks of play. Zamorano was hurt running the bases and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. Thus far this season in 22 games Zamorano is batting .330 with 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 32 hits in 97 at-bats. |
