Giants End Rayol's Streak Friday, April 6th , 2035 The Portland Hops lost to the San Francisco Giants 6-3 today at Oracle Park, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Danny Rayol's 23-game hitting streak. The center fielder went 0-for-4 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Rayol, we would win the game," Giants manager Phil Rowland explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." |
