Pittsburgh-Chicago Deal: Rey for Avila Monday, January 25th , 2055 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Chicago White Sox have agreed to a deal that will have 26-year old RF P.J. Rey heading to Chicago in exchange for 17-year old minor league CF Hugo Avila, 19-year old minor league RHP Edwin Ramey, 21-year old minor league RHP Jaxon DiDonato, and $1 in cash. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. In his career, Rey has hit for a .295 average and totaled 580 hits, 70 home runs and 311 RBIs. |
