Phillies, Hops Confirm Trade Thursday, December 31st , 2054 BNN has learned the Philadelphia Phillies have reportedly worked out a deal with the Portland Hops. Sources close to the Phillies indicated that a trade has been reached in principle where 26-year old 2B Mason Stapleton and $2 in cash will be swapped to Philadelphia with $1 in cash heading to Portland. Neither organization would comment on the report, saying it was club policy not to speak about a trade until it was finalized. Stapleton is hitting .286 lifetime with 525 hits, 95 doubles, 31 triples, 10 home runs, and 168 RBIs to date. He has scored 202 runs, walked 93 times and has a .322 OBP. |
