Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Saturday, September 23rd , 2062 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Colorado-Virginia contest at The Sparrow's Nest. The Rockies Frank Combs and the Black Bears Perry Maddox will have to sit out 4 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. During the current season Combs is batting at a .275 clip with 20 home runs and 51 RBIs. He has played in 91 games and scored 56 times. His record for the year is 4-8 in 26 starts and Maddox has a 4.90 ERA. |
