Angels, Hops Trade Players Monday, August 21st , 2056 It's being reported in the California press that the Angels have traded 28-year old LF Wilfredo Ocanas and $1 in cash to the Portland Hops for 26-year old 1B Steve Silver. However, there is no confirmation by the two ball clubs. This year, Ocanas has hit 4 home runs and posted a .315 batting average. Silver is hitting .244 this year with 15 home runs, 51 RBIs and 51 runs scored. He has 84 hits in 344 at-bats, 44 walks and a .347 on-base percentage. Silver has played in 99 games. |
