Apolo Tussey Bashes Three over the Wall Monday, October 17th , 2050 Apolo Tussey of the Fresno Falcons had a lot to celebrate in today's 10-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers after pounding a trio of home runs at Dodger Stadium. "I'm just closing my eyes and swinging as hard as I can," he joked with reporters after the game. "It worked well today." The powerful Fresno third baseman tagged 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 4 runs and scored 4 times in his three-homer outburst. "We talked about changing our strategy for the third one, and then he went and hit another homer," Los Angeles manager Tony Lozano said. "We just couldn't get him out." Apolo Tussey hit a solo-shot off Keylon Mason in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Keylon Mason in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Tino Carrillo in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Presently Tussey is batting .257 and has collected 37 home runs, 94 RBIs, .342 OBP and scored 80 runs. |
